When the sun sets
The blood red sun is going down
and shining like a jeweled crown.
While all the clouds are coloured gold
the wrinkled sky is looking old.
And God gave nature to remind
us that in heaven we wil find
a King whose crown wil shine much more
than ever did the sun before.
And when upon earth darkness comes
the people will begin their sums
and calculate how shines the star
that sheds it’s light from oh! so far!
But when the morning comes again –
their sums all done – they’ll put down pen,
And some perhaps will bend their knees
to thank their God, or ask Him please.
And with the stars so far away:
I wonder how much some may pray
to get that shiny star above,
that oh! so many people love.
